Nature and Steel carefully mixed for a wonderful sculpture by Rebecca L. Robinson. Alabaster, Cold Steel and Wood.

The very word stone brings to mind permanence, solidity and weight.  I alabaster I have found its innate luminosity often brings grace and loft to my work.  My hope is that the pieces I create expand the viewer’s notion of stone while pressing the limitations of the stone itself.
