The description says it all. The mid-day sun in the fall is still warming and wonderful. You still want to be outside enjoying it. With fall comes the cool nights and changing colors of the foliage. Both the sun and colors bring us the Warmth of Fall.
I have always found my peace in nature, and in my artwork I strive to communicate that peace to my audience. Birdsong in a quiet forest, the gentle feel of a soft breeze, the sound of the sea, or the warmth of the sun are just a few of the feelings I hope to communicate. As a lifelong student of the natural world, I have always been intrigued by the infinite variety of form and color to be found in nature. Natural light illuminates these forms in a variety of ways: sometimes acting as a spotlight on a particular aspect of a scene, or spreading a diffused glow over the landscape, and other times illuminating the entire landscape in bright sunlight, or veiling it with deep shadows. In my artwork, I attempt to convey these varying effects of light on form and color, and communicate the feeling of a particular place and time.
