“Nestled” by Steve Genatossio

Three carefully “Nestled” canoes in Sunapee Harbor. Each made from fiberglass using 3 different kinds of layup construction. Not amazing but, unusual to find the three together. Steve shows us here that his work goes beyond the auto.

Steve Genatossio grew up in Worcester Massachusetts which is where his love of photography began. It was in a high school photo course that he shot, processed and printed his first roll of film and he’s been hooked ever since. Steve attended the New England School of Photography for two jam packed years that helped solidify his commitment to his chosen field.

After graduating he spent time working in labs, assisting other photographers and eventually opening his own commercial studio. In 1995 he moved to the New Hampshire Seacoast with his wife and daughter and began his transition to fine art photography. His early black and white work shaped his point of view and pushed him to explore a different approach to color photography. His color work is an amalgam of precisely manipulated color and black and white matrices. He takes great care in producing high quality work.
